Ted is a graduate of Furman University. He worked in Human Resources with The Kroger Co. for 12 years, as well as in sales and sales management with American Fidelity. He also has 4 years of sales management experience with Pan American Life.
Ted founded Mengel Insurance & Administrative Services, LLC in 2005 and serves as CEO. In 2012, he started GMTA Insurance Management. Ted partnered with the Louisiana Motor Transport Association and founded LMTA Insurance Management in 2022.
Ted has 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Since losing his father to cancer, Ted has become extremely passionate in finding a cure for cancer. He is Chairman of the Edward Mengel Memorial Golf Tournament where all proceeds go to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. This year will be the 10th year of the tournament and he will host one tournament in Charleston and another in Pawleys Island. When not working, you can find him on the golf course or enjoying time with his grandkids.

Tiffany VanHazebroeck graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. She has 8 years of marketing and media buying experience with automotive, financial, and legal clients. In 2018, she transitioned into her current role as a Benefits Specialist, partnering closely with LMTA in 2022. This shift was brought on by her desire to help others and more closely matched her detail-oriented, hard-working personality and love of interpersonal relationships.
Tiffany consistently ranks among the top 10 producers nationwide and in 2020 was 4th overall with one of the largest supplemental benefits carriers in the United States. In addition to Louisiana, she is also licensed in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
Tiffany currently resides just outside of New Orleans, LA. She welcomed a beautiful baby girl in June 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as the Assistant Treasurer with the Junior League of Greater Covington, cooking new foods, traveling, and biking with her daughter and husband.
